On Saturday, Tangerang South KPU city secretary Fajar Baskaradi confirmed to the media team the news of the death of KPU chairman Bambang Dwitoro.

Previously, South Tangerang City KPU President Bambang Dwitoro tested positive for COVID-19 and underwent treatment at Sari Asih Ciputat Hospital.
South Tangerang City KPU Executive Director Taufik said the South Tangerang City KPU chief is still in intensive care at Sari Asih Ciputat Hospital.
“We convey that South Tangerang City KPU Chief Bambang Dwitoro has tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently undergoing treatment at Sari Asih Hospital,” Taufik said in his statement on Friday.
Taufik said that medical staff continued medical treatment because it was known that there was a problem on the side of Bambang Dwitoro’s lungs.
“His condition is now on a fan,” he said.
Regarding the duties of the KPU, Taufik said that all his activities were replaced by him and everything continued smoothly until yesterday’s vote.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, Taufik said that the South Tangerang city KPU office had sprayed disinfectants.
