JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Indonesia recorded the highest number of Covid-19 patients who died on Friday (11/12/2020).

There were 175 cases of death during the last 24 hours yesterday, causing the death of Covid-19 patients to reach 18,511 people.

Meanwhile, as of yesterday, there had been 605,243 cases of Covid-19 accumulated in the country since it was first announced on March 2, 2020.

So, the Covid-19 patients who have been declared cured are 496,886 people.

From these data, 14.8 percent of the total confirmed positive or up to 89,846 were active cases.

Active cases are patients who have tested positive for Covid-19 and are currently in treatment. The Covid-19 case has now spread to 510 districts / cities in 34 provinces.

Covid-19 vaccine offers from private hospitals

Several private hospitals have begun providing independent Covid-19 vaccination services to the public.

The ad was uploaded through the official Instagram accounts of several private hospitals, such as Jakarta Bunda Hospital and the Hospital of the Islamic University of Indonesia (UII).

The hospital even opened direct line so that people who wish to register can participate in the independent vaccination program.

Meanwhile, through the Instagram account, @ rumahsakit.uii, the hospital provides information on how to request the Covid-19 vaccine with an estimated arrival of the vaccine between one and two months.

People who want to request vaccines are asked to register including their full name, age, cell phone number and address, which is sent through an available WhatsApp number.

There are no technical regulations on separate vaccines

Meanwhile, Covid-19 Vaccination spokesperson Wiku Adiasmito said that so far the government has not announced the supply of vaccines through private hospitals.

Wiku emphasized that all health facilities must follow government policies.

“So far, the government has not announced vaccines to the public through private hospitals,” Wiku said when contacted on Friday.

Covid-19 vaccination spokesperson, Siti Nadia Tarmizi, agrees with Wiku.

He said that until now there were no independent technical arrangements for the implementation of the Covid-19 vaccination.

“So far, there is no technical regulation regarding standalone vaccines or this (vaccine) is part of standalone vaccination,” said Nadia.

He also suggested that if the public knew such information, they should confirm it with the appropriate private hospital.

The objective is to determine if the information offered by the Covid19 vaccine is true or simply a hoax.

“You can ask the hospital directly. Is it a hoax or not? Later, there may be a clarification from the hospital,” he said.
