jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The high priest of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Habib Rizieq Shihab has been named a suspect in a case of alleged sanitary quarantine violations in a crowd at the wedding ceremony of his daughter Syarifah Najwa Shihab in Petamburan, Tanah Abang , Central Jakarta, on Nov 14, 2020.
Polda Metro Jaya’s Head of Public Relations, Kombes Yusri Yunus, said the suspect’s determination was based on the results of the case title made by the police on Tuesday (12/8).
In addition to Habib Rizieq, the police also named five other suspects.
“There are six who have been named as suspects. The first is the organizer, Brother MRS,” Polda Metro Public Relations chief Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus told reporters on Thursday (12/10).
The five people, namely the head of the committee with the initials HU, the secretary of the committee with the initials A, MS as responsible, SL as responsible for the event and finally the section head of the event with the initials HI.
Before being named a suspect, Habib Rizieq had been summoned twice by investigators at Polda Metro Jaya to undergo an investigation.
At that time Habib Rizieq was still a witness. During the two summons, the High Priest of the FPI was absent.
