Max Sopacua feels excluded from the Democrats: how to get off Angkot passengers on the road

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Senior politician Max Sopacua regretted the Democratic Party’s treatment against him. Max feels marginalized by the Democratic Party.

On that basis, he decided to leave the Democrats and join the Esa Masyarakat Sejahtera (Gold) Party.

“My regret is that they removed me from the Democratic Party, like dropping off or dropping off public transportation passengers on the side of the road,” Max said at the DPP Gold Party office in Kemang, South Jakarta, on Friday (11/12/ 2020) in the afternoon.

“So I have to find transportation to go home, and that transportation is the Golden Party,” Max added.

He does not blame anyone for his political position in the Democratic Party. Max continues to sympathize with the party formed by Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

“Which is important to me, but I pray that the Democratic Party improves and is more successful,” Max said.

Max joined the Gold Party was noted for taking off his Democratic Party jacket.

“I mean I am officially leaving the Democratic Party and will become part of Ms. Hasnaeni’s Gold Party,” Max said.

Max admitted that he joined the Gold Party to serve and improve the welfare of the Indonesian people.

Max said he wanted to build a Gold Party network in Indonesia.

In addition, Max wants to build a positive image for the Gold Festival in the eyes of the public.

“Third, helping the government to improve the welfare of the people with various efforts of the Golden Party that has been started. The fourth makes (the Gold Party) one of the biggest political forces in Indonesia,” Max said.

Max Sopacua joined the Democratic Party in 2001 and was Deputy Secretary General of the DPP of the Democratic Party from 2002 to 2005.

From 2005 to 2010, Max was the chairman of the Democratic Party for Education, Population, Kominfo DPP.

Max was also a member of the Upper House of the Democratic Party.

Max along with several high-ranking Democrats previously formed the Moral Movement to Save the Democratic Party (GMPPD).

This move at the time led the Democrats to hold an extraordinary congress (KLB) in response to the declining party earnings that had continued since 2009.

In the 2009 election, the Democrats became the winning party in the election with a 20.85 percent gain. However, this profit continues to decline.

In the 2014 election, Democrats’ votes dropped to 10.19 percent and the 2019 election to 7.7 percent.
