jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The team of lawyers from the Front of Islamic Defenders (FPI) visited the Metro Jaya police headquarters in South Jakarta on Friday (11/12).

The visit was aimed at requesting a subpoena for the investigation of Habib Rizieq, who was named a suspect in the crowd case in Petamburan, central Jakarta, on November 14, 2020.

FPI lawyer Aziz Yanuar said his party had contacted investigators to reschedule the questioning of Habib Rizieq while he was still a witness.

The schedule was agreed, namely Monday (12/14).

“We plan that this Monday, tomorrow (December) 14 (December), we would come with Habib Rizieq and five other suspects to be examined, to explain, to be examined, but events, the dynamics have changed,” said Aziz at the Headquarters of Metro Jaya Police, Friday.

Therefore, FPI’s Legal Counsel today went to Metro Jaya Police Headquarters to take a summons to examine the status of the suspect assigned to Habib Rizieq and five other people.

“We are proactive in visiting Polda Metro Jaya to retrieve citations. Therefore, we are proactive, before we are sent, first we come here and now it shows that we are proactive for law enforcement,” Aziz said.

“Because it was only the determination that there was no subpoena for the examination of the suspect’s status from these six parties, including Habib Rizieq Shihab,” Aziz continued.
