LIVE – The families of six members of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) who were shot dead by the authorities today visited the DPR building for a hearing meeting (RDP) with Commission III. In the PDR, the Vice President of Commission III of the RPD, Desmond Mahesa, called for the term FPI laskar.

According to Desmond, the use of the term laskar is synonymous with soldiers going to war. Therefore, he asked that the purpose of the paramilitary troops used by the FPI be explained to Grand Imam Habib Rizieq Shihab.

“If this is the army, the right is the army. Then I am also confused, this laskar is the army for war, with whom is the war? I am also confused. Yes, if this is the army, this is war This is not true either, “Desmond said, Thursday, December 10, 2020.

Desmond asked for an explanation of what the laskar meant. He also asked the FPI to be careful about using the term Laskar.

According to him, the term laskar was often used in warfare. Also, the term laskar was used during the revolution, which in fact Indonesia had passed that time.

“So if we have already had paramilitary troops, it is the same as during our era of revolutionary war. My grandfather was also a Laskar commander, but the goal was independence. Nah What is the objective of the army now? Do you want to establish an Islamic state? It’s against the constitution, “Desmond said.

He recalled that Indonesia is currently independent and is no longer in a state of war. Therefore, the use of these terms should be even wiser so as not to cause divisions or be misinterpreted.

“Stuff I like this I think you should be careful, you don’t want Indonesia to be peaceful in the middle troublemuch Really Let us fight with ourselves, we really want to dissolve this country, it is not like that ”, continued the politician Gerindra.

Previously, six FPI soldiers guarding Habib Rizieq were shot dead because they allegedly attacked the police with firearms and sharp weapons. Kapolda Metro Jaya, Inspector General Fadil Imran, said there were 10 laskar who carried out the attack.

The other four people fled. The incident of the shooting of the six FPI troops took place in the early morning of Monday, December 7, 2020.

“So, based on the results of the initial investigation, the group that attacked was identified as a special laskar,” Fadil said at the Jakarta Metro Jaya police headquarters last Monday.

Fadil continued, these special laskar were what obstructed the police investigation in the case of a crowd of supporters of Habib Rizieq at his daughter’s wedding. However, Fadil did not specify the obstacles in question. (ren)
