Mulyadi Mangkir, Bareskrim issues an arrest warrant

Criminal Investigation Agency (Criminal Investigation Unit) The National Police will detain and forcibly arrest the candidate for Governor of West Sumatra Mulyadi after his absence, the second examination session was scheduled for Thursday (10/12).

It is known that Mulyadi is currently a suspect in an alleged electoral crime case because he allegedly campaigned outside of established hours.

In addition, an arrest warrant is issued, ”he added.

According to Andi, these steps will be carried out by the Police after completing the case files and delegating them to the Phase 1 Prosecutor’s Office.

Mulyadi had previously been absent during his first citation for no apparent reason, on Monday (7/12).

In this case, Mulyadi was accused of article 187 paragraph (1) of Law Number 6 of 2020 with a minimum sentence of 15 days in prison and a duration of 3 months and a maximum fine of Rp1 million.

Previously, West Sumatra Bawaslu Abuse Eradication Division Coordinator Elly Yanti explained that the case began with the Legal Team report of West Sumatra Governor and Lieutenant Governor Mahyeldi-Audy, West Sumatra Bawaslu on November 12, 2020.

His party delegated the case to Bawaslu RI and eventually handed it over to Bareskrim because there were allegations of criminal elements.

“Because this incident occurred in all provinces, in Jakarta, on TV One, we ordered Bawaslu RI to take over this case. Therefore, we did not record the handling of violations,” Elly said on Saturday ( 6/12).
