Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
The National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) sent a subpoena to the Chief Inspector General of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Fadil Imran, in relation to the case of the shooting of six of the Islamic Defenders Army (LPI) or better known as Laskar FPI on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road some time ago.
In addition to Fadil, Komnas HAM will also summon the President Director of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) to request information from the team.
“The team has sent a subpoena for consultations,” Komnas HAM Commissioner Choirul Anam said in an official statement on Thursday (10/12).
The actual exam is scheduled to take place next week. However, the Commission has not confirmed the exact time because the two parties are still discussing the exact time.
Anam explained that the information from the two people was necessary to complete the various information the research team had obtained.
Apart from that, he said, the investigation team had also examined several other witnesses, such as the FPI, the families of the victims and the residents of the place.
“The team also conducts direct field monitoring and is deepening the TKP,” Anam said.
The National Police previously stated that it would cooperate with the investigation into the shooting of six FPI members who were shot in the clash on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road on Monday morning (7/12).
The head of the Public Information Office of the National Police (Karopenmas), Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, said that the police did not question the existence of a Komnas HAM team.
“That is a form of external supervision, we will help later, regarding the data that is needed,” Awi told reporters at police headquarters, Jakarta, on Tuesday (12/8).
It is known that Komnas HAM formed an investigation team to investigate the information about the incident of the confrontation that occurred between Rizieq Shihab supporters and the authorities.
