Cigarette price list next year after excise duty increase

Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati officially increases the tobacco product consumption tariff (CHT) o cigarette tax an average of 12.5 percent in 2021. The increase will be effective as of February 1, 2021.

In detail, for the type of tax on cigarettes, class I white machine cigarettes (SPM) increased by 18.4 percent. Then, SPM’s group IIA increased by 16.5 percent. Then the SPM IIB group was up 18.1 percent.

In the case of machine-made kretek (SKM) cigarettes, Group I increased by 16.9 percent. The SKM IIA group was up 13.8 percent. Then the SKM IIB group increased by 15.4 percent.


Meanwhile, specifically for hand-rolled kretek cigarettes (SKT) there was no increase or 0 percent increase.

– SPM Group IIA increased from Rp80 / rod to Rp565 / rod

– SKM I increased by Rp125 / cigarette to Rp865 / cigarette

– SKM IIA increased from Rp65 / rod to Rp535 / rod

– SKM IIB increased from Rp70 / rod to Rp525 / rod

Especially for SKT, the prices do not go up, here are the details:

– SKT IB: Rp330 / batang

– SKT II: Rp200 / rod

– SKT III: Rp110 / rod
