FPI denies that Laskarnya carries firearms, police: do not deceive, may be criminalized

TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – The spokesman for the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Munarman denied that Muhammad Rizieq Shihab’s (MRS) guard was equipped with firearms.

Related to this, the head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Yusri Yunus, warned that there was a crime related to the spreading of hoaxes.

“Do not publish fake news, you can be sentenced later,” Yusri, at Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, said on Tuesday (12/8/2020).

Currently, Yusri said that the police were still collecting evidence related to the possession of these firearms.

However, he said, the evidence of gun ownership by the perpetrators was very clear. It’s just that researchers are still investigating.

“Munarman FPI’s statement never carried a firearm. The proof of possession of a weapon is clear that the perpetrator has the weapon. The evidence is there, it is still being investigated, it is still being investigated. In time we will transmit it.” , said.

In addition, Yusri said that one of the pieces of evidence found by the investigators was a 9mm caliber bullet. He added that his party would now conduct ballistic tests to strengthen these findings.
