JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – The National Police responded to the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM), which has formed an investigation team to investigate the confrontation between the police and members of the FPI laskar that occurred on the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) Highway, on Monday ( 7/12/2020) in the morning.

According to the head of the Public Information Office (Karopenmas) of the Public Relations Division of the Police Headquarters, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, his party did not question the investigation carried out by Komnas HAM into the confrontation between the police and members of the Front. of Islamic Defenders (FPI).

“It’s okay. It’s a form of external supervision,” Awi Setiyono said at the Bareskrim building of the National Police headquarters in South Jakarta on Tuesday (8/12/2020).

Awi says his party has so far acted transparently.

The police also promised to provide data for Komnas HAM’s investigative needs.

“Of course, we will help you with the required data later,” he said.

As is known, as a result of the confrontation, the police shot dead six supporters of the leader of the FPI, Rizieq Shihab, and four others continue to be persecuted.
