Fadli requested that the incident be fully investigated so that it does not become a brutal violation of Human Rights (HAM) amid the coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19).

“It must be investigated, so that it does not become a brutal violation of human rights in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic,” Fadli said through his YouTube account, Fadli Zon Official, as quoted. CNNIndonesia.com on Tuesday (12/8).

He said that events not related to terrorism or separatist movements should not have occurred with bloodshed. According to him, this has been guaranteed by the Indonesian constitution.

“I think you can investigate here, it can happen abuse of power“The arbitrariness, beyond what was done because the gun had rules about how to shoot and what to do next,” said RI Commissioner I DPR.

Fadli believed that a joint investigation team or TGPF needed to be formed to respond to incidents of police clashes with Rizieq supporters. According to him, TGPF will reveal the real party that made a mistake.

He said that Rizieq and his followers are good citizens and love Indonesia.

According to Fadli, there were parties that were disturbed by Rizieq’s return to Indonesia on November 10. According to him, this can be seen in the events of the removal of several regional police officers at the provincial or district / city level.

Building on that, Fadli questioned the steps of the police and government officials that seemed to make Rizieq an enemy at this time.

“Why should Habib Rizieq Shihab be used as a scourge, should he become an enemy of our security apparatus, of our government, what is it?” Fadli said.

Fadli assessed that there had been clear legal discrimination against Rizieq. According to him, this is a setback for democracy and endangers the integrity of social integrity in Indonesia.

Previously, Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran said the shooting took place because the police vehicle was stopped and attacked first.

“The officers’ vehicles were intercepted and stopped by the vehicles of the two followers, then they carried out the attack pointing firearms and sharp weapons in the shape of samurai and sickles at the members,” said Fadil, Monday (12 / 7).

However, FPI General Secretary Munarman said his party was the victim of slander related to the confrontation.
The slander was related to the police statement that the FPI first attacked the officers with sharp weapons and firearms.

Komnas HAM has spoken out, stating that it has formed a team to examine various types of information about the clash between Rizieq supporters and the police.
