JAKARTA, KOMPAS.COM – The Front of Islamic Defenders (FPI) is back in the discussion.
This time due to a series of events that happened to its members. One incident even killed six FPI special soldiers.

The confrontation between members of the Polda Metro Jaya and the special FPI laskar occurred on Monday morning (7/12/2020) on the Jakarta-Cikampek KM 50 toll road.
The FPI special laskar is suspected of attacking the police who wanted to investigate information about the mobilization of the masses to monitor the interrogation of FPI leader Rizieq Shihab.
Rizieq was originally summoned by Polda Metro Jaya for the second time on Monday to be examined as a witness regarding the alleged violation of health protocols at his daughter’s marriage in Petamburan, Central Jakarta, on November 14, 2020.
Later, while conducting an investigation, members of the police followed the vehicle that was transporting Rizieq supporters.
It was also said that a shooting had occurred between the FPI special laskar and members of the Polda Metro Jaya.

“They (the FPI special laskar) were suspicious, equally suspicious, finally our members’ car was stopped and they shot, finally our members responded to the field,” said the Head of the Public Information Office of the Public Relations Division the National Police, Brigadier General (Pol) Awi Setiyono at the Bareskrim Building, Jakarta. South, Monday.
As a result of this incident, the police shot and killed six members of the FPI special laskar. Meanwhile, four other people fled and continued to be pursued by the police.
Police also confiscated two pistols and a katana sword that were suspected of having been used to attack Polda Metro Jaya personnel.
PA 212 president’s car was damaged
Meanwhile, on Sunday morning (6/12/2020), the car of Alumni Brotherhood (PA) 212 President Slamet Maarif was damaged by an unknown person as it was parked near his home in Cimanggis, Depok.
The timeline was verbally relayed to members of the police, but Slamet has not made an official report on the incident, Cimanggis Police Chief AKP Agus Choeron said.
Agus admitted that he had asked for direct access to the CCTV cameras installed in his garage, but Slamet only wanted to show the CCTV camera screen images that were recorded with a cell phone.

“We can not maximum that (open access to CCTV camera), that’s your young privacy anyway. The person concerned told me that there had been damage to his car, which was actually a garage far from his house, about 10-15 meters away, “said Agus.
Agus said that, from the recording, it was faintly seen that 3-4 people entered the garage.
They were not monitored in more detail because the CCTV cameras were pointed to the side of the car.
As a result of the damage, Slamet’s windshield was reported to have broken into two holes on the left side, allegedly due to a sharp object.
Then the left side of the car that was painted black was also sprayed with red piloks.
