TEMPO.CO, Jakarta -The Commissioner for Monitoring and Investigation of the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) stated that it had formed a team to investigate the confrontation between members of the FPI and the police in the Jakarta Cikampek toll area on Monday, December 7, 2020 in the morning.
According to him, the Komnas HAM team is currently investigating this information. “Still deepening the information from the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI),” he said via text message on Monday.

According to Anam, the team is exploring information and gathering facts directly. The extraction of information from the FPI, he said, is still ongoing today.
He said the intention of extracting the information was to reveal the events of the confrontation. Hope all related parties can cooperate and be open. “We also pass this hope on to the police,” Anam said.
Previously, the head of Polda Metro Jaya, Inspector General Mohammad Fadil Imran, announced that the police had shot dead six members of the FPI. He explained that the incident began when the police carried out a surveillance against him on Monday this morning, around 00:30.
Upon reaching the Cikampek Kilometer 50 toll road, the investigator’s vehicle was stopped and attacked with firearms and sharp weapons by members of the FPI. For reasons of self-defense, Fadil said that its members, who numbered six, carried out the shooting, which resulted in the deaths of 6 out of 10 FPI members. Four other people immediately fled the scene.
The general secretary of the Islamic Defenders Front or FPI Munarman revealed the names of six laskar suspected of having been abducted by unknown persons. According to him, all six laskar had died. “The names of the soldiers who were arbitrarily killed were Fais, Ambon, Andi, Reza, Lutfil and Kadhavi,” he said in a short message on Monday, December 7, 2020.
