JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Police said the car used by 10 supporters of the leader of the Front of Islamic Defenders (FPI) Rizieq Shihab first collided with a police vehicle.
This happened on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road on Monday morning (7/12/2020). In that incident, the police shot dead six members of the FPI Laskar.
Polda Metro Jaya Director of General Criminal Investigation (Dirkrimum) Kombes Tubagus Ade Hidayat said the car containing the FPI special laskar collided several times with the police car that was following it.
“The process of crashing first was the number of times our car was hit and crushed,” Tubagus told Polda Metro Jaya on Monday (7/12/2020).

After that, Tubagus said, they immediately carried out attacks with sharp weapons and pistols at the members.
However, he did not explain the process of the attack.
“The role is clear, there are two cars that are close to us that will be stopped by us and then they will carry out the attack. There are those who wear sajam and wear senpi, ”Tubagus said.
Tubagus noted that evidence of the attack perpetrated by the FPI special laskar against the police had been pocketed, one of which was the result of a voice message.
The voice recording shows a conversation of the FPI Special Troops to harm the police.
“There is also evidence on how you plan to bring Voice Note there and then everything is clearly stated or stated in Voice Note,” Tubagus said.

In the voice memo, according to the Police, the FPI Special Troops had known that the party that followed was the police.
Even so, the FPI special Laskar group continued to attack the police.
“It is very obvious how the planning was, how the interested party already knew it was a police car and then how he was attracted, caught, everything was visible, inside (VN), it was very real,” said Tubagus.
Feeling threatened, the police opened fire and killed six of Rizieq’s bodyguards.
Polda Metro Jaya will continue to carry out investigations related to the attack on the police by the FPI Special Army.

There were firearms in the form of two pistols and seven bullets. Also, there are three cartridge housings.
According to police, the two pistols were not homemade pistols. According to the police version, the paramilitaries shot three times.
Other evidence shown is a sword and sickle.
Explanation of FPI
Earlier, FPI Secretary General Munarman explained that Rizieq and his family were heading to a family recitation at dawn. Rizieq departed Sentul, Bogor, at 10:30 p.m. WIB.
In the caravan there were also four other cars carried by members of the FPI Laskar who were guarding Rizieq.
The group realized that they were being followed by other vehicles from Sentul. However, he said, the stalkers took action at 12.30 pm WIB, after Rizieq’s group was on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road, near the East Karawang toll gate.
“The stalkers were trying to cut off the passage for any purpose. This is a person who is not in uniform. He tries to cut the group and stop the vehicle,” Munarman said during a press conference at FPI Petamburan headquarters in central Jakarta, the Monday in the afternoon.
“This person without uniform was trying to get into the group and stop the vehicle. The guards reacted to protect HRS (Rizieq). The reaction is normal,” he said.
According to him, there were two cars with bodyguards trying to stop the stalker.
Meanwhile, two other cars continued to drive, escorting Rizieq’s group and family to their destination.
However, of the two cars that confronted the stalker, Munarman said, one drove away immediately after hearing shots.
“The other car was saved because there were shots,” he said.
After that, FPI could no longer communicate with the six members of the laskar.
Therefore, FPI published a press release stating that Rizieq’s six bodyguards were missing.
Munarman said he was surprised when the Jakarta police chief stated that six Rizieq supporters were shot and killed because they attacked the police.
“It is said that the great slander of our laskar is to carry firearms. They are not equipped with firearms, they are used to bare hands. We are not cowards,” Munarman said.
“An extraordinary slander, a distortion of the facts by calling the soldiers the first to attack and carry out the shooting,” he continued.
Munarman also said that until now the police had not given his group access to inspect the bodies of the six members of the Rizieq guard.
