Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Secretary General of the Islamic Defenders Front (REIT) Munarman stated that the family of 6 Laskar Pembela Islam (LPI) who died after the incident clashed police the Cikampek toll road was unable to access the body until this afternoon.
“Access to the corpse alone does not attract the family,” Munarman told a news conference on Monday afternoon (7/12).
Earlier, Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief Inspector General Pol Fadil Imran announced that a clash between the police and Rizieq supporters had occurred on the Cikampek toll road on WIB Monday morning. Six members of the FPI died in the incident.
Munarman then explained that initially his party stated that the 6 FPI troops were declared missing after the incident by the FPI. This is because they did not know anything about the victim’s whereabouts until the police announced it on Monday (7/12) this afternoon.
“We have assigned our troops to check from 1 to 3 o’clock [pagi]No, there was no shooting incident, “Munarman said.
Munarman stated that if a shooting had occurred, the 6 victims would have been found at the crime scene (TKP). However, he said the bodies of 6 soldiers and the car they were driving were not at the scene when they were searched by the FPI.
“When we learned that someone had been shot, we ordered him to check the East Karawang tollbooth. It turned out that there were no paramilitary vehicles there. There were no paramilitary vehicles or bodies,” Munarman said.
Munarman claimed that his party had mobilized FPI supporters to search for the 6 victims from the hospital to the police station. However, they did not find any results until the police announced it.
Therefore, his party suspected that the 6 soldiers were transferred to another location and then shot. In fact, he admitted to receiving a voice memo from one of the FPI paramilitaries who had been a victim before the shooting.
“Indeed, it is necessary to know about this. One of the paramilitaries sent a plaintive voice note from one of our soldiers who was shot. What does that mean? That means our troops were taken to one place and slaughtered in another.” Munarman said.
“Then some time later voice note sent there are no more cell phones from the 6-person army that we are actively contacting, “he added.
Furthermore, Munarman also denied it when the police intercepted a shootout with his troops.
“There were no shots. The language was to shoot both sides with firearms,” he said.
He also emphasized that none of the paramilitary forces of the FPI carried firearms.
“We don’t have access to firearms and it is impossible to buy illegal weapons,” Munarman said.
The confrontation between the police and the FPI took place on the Jakarta-Cikampek KM 50 toll road, on Monday (12/7) around 00.30 WIB. Police claim they were attacked by Rizieq supporters in the incident.
In his statement Monday afternoon, Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief Inspector General Pol Fadil Imran said Rizieq supporters opened fire on the officers.
The confrontation was known to have killed six of Rizieq’s supporters. Meanwhile, the other four are said to have fled after the confrontation.
From the confrontation between the police and the FPI, law enforcement officers seized various evidence in the incident, including firearms, sickles, samurai and bullets.
The police have not reinforced the security of the police station
Separately, as of Monday afternoon, the National Police Headquarters had not yet issued instructions to strengthen security around the police headquarters or the staff after the confrontation with the FPI crowd.
“Until now, we are still pending. We are awaiting every development of the existing situation in Kamtibmas (Public Safety and Order),” the Head of the Police Public Information Office (Karopenmas), Brigadier General Awi Setiyono told reporters at Police Headquarters, Jakarta, on Monday (7/12).
Awi requested that Rizieq Shihab be able to comply with the investigation subpoena sent by investigators to Polda Metro Jaya. The reason is that after three subpoenas, the police can detain a witness by force.
That, Awi said, is in accordance with the provisions of article 112 of the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP).
“I did not attend twice, what [konsekuensinya]? the order brings. Of course the investigators will issue it, “he said.
For information, the police and a group of people suspected of supporting Rizieq Shihab were involved in a clash on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road, on Monday (12/7) this morning. At least six people died after being shot as a result of the attacks on the authorities.
The incident occurred when officers were investigating information about the mass mobilization to protect Rizieq Shihab’s summons at Polda Metro, on Monday (12/7).
The policemen conducting the surveillance were said to have been attacked and surrounded by a group of FPI sympathizers. They were then taken firmly by the authorities because they were deemed to endanger the safety of their lives.
