jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Gerindra Party politician Fadli Zon criticized the police for shooting six soldiers from the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) on the KM 50 Jakarta-Cikampek highway, Karawang, West Java, on Monday (12/7) .
Fadli admitted that he received information that the FPI laskar died after being shot by the police.
“Why are there shootings to the death? Are they terrorists? The police must not be careless in the use of weapons,” Fadli wrote on his Twitter account @fadlizon on Monday.
Fadli is of the opinion that FPI laskar or FPI Grand Imam Habib Rizieq Shihab supporters do not have firearms.
According to Fadli, the paramilitary troops and their supporters love peace.
“I firmly believe that the supporters of Habib Rizieq love peace and are not equipped with weapons. It must be thoroughly investigated. If it is too much, the police have committed abuses of power. Kapolda must be held accountable,” Fadli said.
Meanwhile, the general secretary (Sekum) of the FPI Munarman said that the police had uttered defamatory overtones about the deaths of six FPI soldiers.
Especially, Munarman said, when police narrated the FPI’s laskar shooting at the Bhayangkara Corps investigator. According to Munarman, the killing of six FPI soldiers was an act of massacre.
