“I want to convey good news, today the government has received 1.2 million doses of the Covid vaccine, this vaccine is manufactured by Sinovac that we have been clinically testing in Bandung since last August,” said Jokowi, quoted on Monday (12/7 / 2020). .
Jokowi revealed that the government is still working on 1.8 million doses of the vaccine that will arrive in early January 2021.
“In addition to the finished vaccine, this month there will be 15 million doses of vaccine and 30 million January doses of raw materials that will be processed by Bio Farma,” added Jokowi.

The coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartato, revealed that although the vaccines are already in data and are in Indonesia, the implementation of vaccination still has to go through an evaluation stage from the POM to ensure aspects of quality and effectiveness and the MUI fatwa for halal aspects.
“The priorities for health personnel and public service officials have been technically regulated by the Minister of Health,” he explained.
Airlangga revealed that priority recipients of the government program vaccine will receive it for free. Meanwhile, the community at large will receive a paid independent vaccination program.
“Detailed rules for the two schemes will be published in the next 1-2 weeks,” he said.
Previously, the head of BPOM Penny Lukito revealed that the permission for the emergency use of the Covid-19 Sinovac vaccine could only be issued in the third or fourth week of January 2021. This was related to the data that had to be completed.
Meanwhile, PT Bio Farma, as part of collaborating with Sinovac for the final phase of clinical trials of vaccines in Indonesia, aims for vaccinations to take place in early February 2021.
