Tottenham Hotspur managed to beat Arsenal 2-0 in the first half. Son Heung-min and Harry Kane made the difference for 45 minutes.
Playing at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday (6/12/2020), the host had the first chance through a free kick from Eric Dier in the 3rd minute, but missed the goal.
Three minutes later, Arsenal attacked again. Bukayo Saka shot from outside the penalty area, but the ball did not reach the goal either.
Arsenal’s pressure continued in the 11th minute. Thomas Partey fired from a distance, but to no avail.
OBJECTIVE! Tottenham took a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute. Harry Kane started a counterattack by hurling long-range comments at Son Heung-min. The South Korean attacker dribbled the ball briefly, then fired a curly shot that lodged in the right corner of Arsenal’s goal guarded by Bernd Leno.

Leading a goal, Tottenham continued to attack. Pierre-Emile Hoejbjerg nearly doubled the lead in the 26th minute, if only his shot hadn’t gone straight into Leno’s arms. Three minutes later, Granit Xhaka blocked Kane’s kick.
Arsenal tries to find the tie. Partey fired another long-distance shot in the 39th minute, but it was blocked by Dier. Meanwhile, Alexandre Lacazette’s free kick in the 44th minute was still a winger on the right side of Tottenham’s goal.
OBJECTIVE! Tottenham added a goal in the first half of injury time. On the counterattack, the cooperation between Giovani Lo Celso and Son fostered a mature feeding for Kane in the penalty area. With a strong shot, he managed to break into Arsenal’s goal.
