Barcelona must swallow the bitter pill when traveling to the headquarters in Cádiz. The Blaugrana lost 1-2 until Ronald Koeman had a hard time understanding.

LaLiga continued to bring Cádiz vs Barcelona to the Ramón de Carranza Stadium, on Sunday (6/12/2020) at the morning WIB. The hosts already surprised Barcelona by scoring a quick goal in the eighth minute through Álvaro Giménez.

Barcelona managed to equalize in the second half with an own goal from Pedro Alcalá in the 57th minute. However, Barcelona conceded again through Álvaro Negredo in the 63rd minute after an error from the rear.

This is Barcelona’s fourth defeat in 10 LaLiga 2020/2021 matches. Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman cannot explain the promotion team’s defeat.

“This defeat is difficult to explain. We came here after some good games, but the first half was not good,” Koeman was quoted as saying by Marca.

“We were better in the second half, but the way we lost was extraordinary. We lost because of an unexpected mistake that you can’t make,” he continued.

Cádiz’s second goal came from a throw-in to Jordi Alba that Clement Lenglet could not control in the penalty area. Marc-Andre ter Stegen tries to clear the ball, but it turns into Negredo. Calmly Negredo taunted Frenkie De Jong and then threw the ball into the empty net.

“It was because he was not focused. His attitude was not good tonight, and not only from the defenders. It is very difficult to explain the few goals that we conceded,” Koeman said.

“I think it could be due to lack of concentration. We lacked aggressiveness without the ball. Maybe that’s why we conceded. It’s not easy to explain the second goal,” he said.
