JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Central Leadership Council (DPP) Chairman Tsamara Amany Alatas said his party is ready to urge DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan if the plan to increase the DKI DPRD salary.

According to Tsamara, the APBD 2021 is a joint agreement between the governor of DKI Jakarta and the DPRD DKI.

This was said by Tsamara when he was a speaker at the Jakarta Coalition webinar on Saturday (5/12/2020).

“If we lose our votes, if the DPRD DKI decides that they agree to raise the salary, of course PSSI will urge the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pak Anies, to reject this increase plan,” said Tsamara.

Tsamara said Anies Baswedan would be PSI’s last hope if the plan is approved.

“Because if you are committed to the citizens of Jakarta and you realize how difficult society is, this is the last hope, you must dare to refuse,” Tsamara said.

Tsamara emphasized that PSI had rejected the draft since the plenary session.

“In the plenary session to convey views, PSI clearly said whether it was appropriate during a pandemic like this if DPRD members actually increased their salaries from Rs 2,500 crore to Rs 2,830 crore. So that’s clear from a general point of view and can be verified in a plenary session “. he is stressed.

It was previously reported that the salary and allowances for the members of the Council of Regional Representatives of DKI Jakarta are proposed to increase to IDR 8.38 billion, to be exactly IDR 8,383,791,000, in one year in 2021.

This means that each member of DKI Jakarta DPRD will receive a salary of IDR 698,649,250 (IDR 698.6 million) per month.

This also met with resistance from many parties. Because the plan was proposed when the community was experiencing difficulties in the middle of a pandemic.

It is considered that the representatives of the town did not manage to determine the scale of labor priority and were not prudent in the requests of salary increase.
