The police stressed that they would take firm action against the Habib Rizieq Shihab crowd that turned out when the FPI leader was questioned at the Polda Metro Jaya next week. The Deputy General Secretary of the Alumni Brotherhood (Wasekjen PA) 212 Novel Bamukmin called on the police to do justice.

“The authorities did them justice (supporters of Habib Rizieq Shihab) because they were not rebels,” Novel said when contacted. detikcom, Saturday (12/5/2020).

According to Novel, PA 212 has never instructed people who support Habib Rizieq Shihab to come to Polda Metro Jaya when Habib Rizieq is questioned next week. He said that it was an initiative of the neighbors.

Novel also responded to the police threat that they would arrest supporters of Habib Rizieq Shihab if they refused when the police asked them to disperse. He appealed to the police not to be arrogant.

Novel said the prison’s capacity would not be sufficient to accommodate Habib Rizieq Shihab supporters who would be arrested.

“Don’t be arrogant in arresting the masses that will come because the prison has no place and the number of officers is also far from the masses that could come,” Novel said.

To keep in mind, Habib Rizieq will be questioned at Polda Metro Jaya on Monday (7/12). The police also warned the Habib Rizieq Shihab crowd not to come to the Polda Metro Jaya when the FPI leader is questioned.

“We urge everyone not to hand over, and a lawyer is enough,” Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Public Relations Chief Yusri Yunus told reporters at the Jakarta Metro Jaya Police Headquarters on Friday (12/4) .

Yusri said his party would take firm steps to disperse the crowd.

“But, if it is still being forced, Polda Metro Jaya, in this case the police, will act firmly and disperse. In essence, we will dissolve and act decisively making arrests according to the rules if they continue to force people to carry to the masses to Polda Metro Jaya on Monday (7/12), “continued Yusri.
