DEPOK, KOMPAS.com – Depok’s No. 1 deputy mayor candidate Afifah Alia in today’s public debate brought up a past incident involving verbal abuse by her rival, Imam Budi Hartono, on one occasion in Bandung.
Earlier, Afifah’s opponent Mohammad Idris-Imam Budi Hartono asked about the Gender Development Index (GPI).
Imam also had time to poke fun at Afifah, who often did not understand technical terms, saying, “If (Afifah) wants to know, later I WA (WhatsApp).”
As soon as Afifah had a chance to respond, he immediately brought up the incident.
“Pak Imam never sends me a WhatsApp, I am still traumatized by the incident in Bandung,” Afifah said in a debate on Friday (4/12/2020).

The verbal harassment incident in question began when the two camps were to undergo medical tests at Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS) Bandung as one of the requirements to advance in Pilkada Depok 2020.
Before the layout of the rooms, Imam joked about inviting a roommate.
In Afifah’s version, Imam said, “I share the same room, Bu Afifah.” At that moment, he immediately received laughter from Imam’s partner, Mohammad Idris.
Meanwhile, in the Imam’s version, he admitted that he was talking to medical personnel, “if (in a room) together, I replied, I could share the same room with Afifah, my grandson.”
