Police emphasized that PSBB rules prohibit crowds.
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Polda Metro Jaya has scheduled another citation for Habib Rizieq Shihab (HRS) on Monday (12/7). The citation was still related to the violation of health protocols during his daughter’s marriage contract in Petamburan, central Jakarta.
The police threatened to take action against supporters of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) if they were desperate to assist in escorting Rizieq Shihab. “Anyone who comes here with the masses will take firm action. Because the PSBB rules are clearly not allowed to crowd the crowds,” said Polda Metro Jaya’s public relations chief, police commissioner Yusri Yunus, when he met. with the Metro Jaya police headquarters in South Jakarta on Friday (4/12).
According to Yusri, according to the regulations, the legal representative who can accompany someone in a police summons. He also admitted that his party had referred this matter to HRS and its representatives. Therefore, he appealed to supporters not to come to Polda Metro Jaya. Of course, to avoid the crowds during the current Covid-19 pandemic.
“We urge everyone not to hand over and only use a lawyer. If it is still being forced, Polda Metro Jaya will take firm action and disperse it,” Yusri said.
At the first summons, HRS and his son-in-law Hanif Alatas were not present for their respective reasons. HRS was unable to take the first call on Tuesday (1/12) because it was still recovering. However, the legal team did not bring a certificate from a doctor. Meanwhile, Hanif Alatas was unable to attend because there were other agendas.
“We sent the second call to MRS (Rizieq Shihab) and HA (Hanif Alatas) which we plan to attend on Monday (December 7, 2020),” explained Yusri, last Wednesday (12/2).
Previously, lawyer Aziz Yanuar confirmed that HRS was unable to comply with the invitation to investigate the Polda Metro Jaya on Tuesday (1/12). The reason is that he is currently recovering after returning from Ummi Hospital, Bogor, some time ago. However, he and the team did not bring a certificate from the doctor explaining that HRS needed time to rest.
Aziz claimed that the reason for Rizieq’s absence was due to health factors that were well received by the researchers. So that the inspection schedule can be reprogrammed. “We are still in the process. Because it takes time, so we asked the police to understand this,” Aziz said.
