Pekalongan City –
The video of a police officer in the city of Pekalongan threatening the FPI and Habib Rizieq Syihab went viral on social media. DPW FPI Pekalongan City presented the investigation of the case to the police and asked for an open clarification.
“Yes, we left it to the police and thank God the police chief followed up immediately and personally apologized for the attitude of his subordinates,” said Pekalongan City FPI DPW Chairman Ustaz Abu Ayas, when journalists contacted him on Thursday (3/12/2020).
“Currently, the case is being handled by Propam and followed by the Central Java Police,” Abu Ayas continued.
Abu Ayas also asked the police to openly clarify the video threatening the high priest of the FPI Habib Rizieq Syihab.
“As soon as possible please provide clarification open to the public, because after all Habib Rizieq is no longer a symbol of the ownership of the FPI organization, but he has been appointed leader of the ummah, so of course, the that feel angry are not only the members of the FPI but the public in general, “he explained.
He also admitted that he is currently carrying out internal coordination to take the next step. “We are making internal efforts, we have not made a decision. What is clear is that we are too full of profanity, threats both verbal and physical,” he said.
He hopes that with this case, the Police will realize that their ranks have tarnished the reputation of the institution of the National Police.
“Our hope is that with this case, the police apparatus must realize that the institution has been so tarnished by its subordinates that they commit savage verbal acts that they can undermine the authority of the institution,” he said.
In the viral video, the police officers also mentioned the raid on the Pekalongan City Monument Post due to the case of the fine for the son of a Pekalongan City FPI member. Abu Ayas also explained his case.
“I want to clarify first that his statement agrees with his video. What he transmitted in relation to the incident he experienced is not true. That the FPI member went to the post and then was beaten by him until he fell, that is digressing. I also need to confirm if he is speaking thus in a conscious state or under the influence of alcohol, “he explained.
“The second that recorded audio of these police officers, so far not good either. Both internally in their own environment and in their capacity as officers, ”said Abu Ayas.
It was previously reported that Pekalongan City Police Chief AKBP Moch Irwan Susanto confirmed that the man in the viral video threatened FPI and Habib Rizieq Syihab as a member. Irwan said the Propam members had now been questioned.
“Aiptu’s rank, the initials H, is involved in the Detention and Evidence Unit (Tahti),” Irwan said during a press conference at the Pekalongan City Police Headquarters on Thursday (March 12). .
