Budapest –
Martin Braithwaite contributed a goal when Barcelona beat Ferencvaros. His goal was born again when he was not on the same field with Lionel Messi.
Barcelona coach Roland Koeman rested La Pulga again in the Group G Champions League match that took place at the Puskas Arena, on Thursday (03/12/2020) at the WIB in the morning . Barcelona were able to immediately upset the opponent’s defense after a shot from close range by Marttin Braithwaite that nearly resulted in a goal.
Barcelona’s attempt to steal the first goal from Ferencvaros paid off in the 14th minute through Antoine Griezmann. Braithwaite Barcelona’s lead doubled in the 21st minute.
Barcelona’s third goal was born from Ousmane Dembélé’s penalty kick in the 28th minute. The Blaugrana penalty was awarded after Braithwaite was violated by Abraham Frimpong.
“I’m very happy, but it’s the happiest thing about seeing the team win. Getting continuity in the team is important to me. Happy to win like we did in the last game,” Braithwaite said on UEFA’s official website.
“Sometimes the goals flow and sometimes the ball doesn’t come in. I’ve played the last four games and that’s very important to me,” he said.
There is something interesting about Braithwaite’s goals so far this season. He did it after starting three games in a row and not having Messi on the field.
Like when he scored two goals against Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League in the middle of last week. Messi rested and Braithwaite successfully contributed two goals.
Braithwaite scored the first goal in the 29th minute when Barcelona crushed Osasuna 4-0 last weekend in LaLiga. Messi in that game only played in the second half.
Messi’s absence as a starter in Barcelona’s last three games is a bold decision by Koeman. The last time Messi started, Barcelona lost 1-0 to Atlético de Madrid.
