The atmosphere was so tense when the home of the mother of the Coordinating Minister of Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud Md’s mother in Pamekasan, Madura, was stormed by a mob. Mahfud Md’s sister, Siti Marwiyah, said her mother was afraid.

“The incident happened yesterday afternoon (Tuesday) after the noon prayer. The mother was resting, then there was a crowd, she said, hitting the front,” Siti said.
The house that the crowd visited was occupied by Mahfud Md’s mother, who is now 90 years old. Apart from that, there is also Mahfud’s brother, 70, as well as two nurses and domestic workers.
“It’s been 90 years and my sister is 70 years old. So the residents here are all women, two nurses are all women,” Siti said.
Siti said that, at the time of the incident, her mother had finished praying. He also said that his mother was scared when the incident occurred.
“The mother of Professor Mahfud Md who lives in this house, yesterday when there was a demonstration, it turned out that my mother had finished praying,” said Siti.
“Yeah I was scared, the crowd was wearing full gloves on the front,” he continued.
Siti said that at that time the atmosphere was very tense. He immediately coordinated with the Chief of Police regarding the incident.
“So yesterday’s incident took hold of our family. The nurses were all phone calls, it was full of people outside, we also coordinated directly with the Chief of Police,” he said.
Video of the massive raid on Mahfud Md’s mother is also circulating on the chat app. In the 28 second video, it appears that the masses are dominated by men. Dozens of people were seen dressed in Muslim clothing, beginning with koko clothing, sarongs, with hats and turbans.
“Mahfud Md’s house in Madura, Pamekasan, was attacked by the masses,” said one person in the video seen by detik.com.
