INDOZONE.ID – A fatal accident occurred in Jalan Raya Bandung-Sumedang, precisely in front of Sumedang Tanjungsari Square, Sumedang Regency, on Tuesday afternoon (12/01/2020).
In post-event photos and videos circulating on social media, the victims were seen lying on the street in extreme conditions.
A female victim who is still alive is seen screaming hysterically next to the body of someone suspected of being her brother.
The accident involved a truck with police number Z 9355 HB, public transportation, a Pajero Sport car with registration D 1597 VCN and several motorcycles. The truck is suspected of losing control and crashing into several other vehicles at the same time.
The truck was seen stopped in front of a store near the Tanjungsari Post Office.
So far it is not known with certainty what caused the accident, but it is suspected that the truck’s brakes failed.
This fatal accident joins the long list of fatal accidents that have occurred in the recent period.
The day before, a fatal accident on the Cipali Turnpike killed 10 people. In November, a fatal accident in the city of Pematangsiantar killed 5 people.
