Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan positively exposed to covid-19. This was based on the results of the PCR swab test that came out on Tuesday morning (1/12). On Monday afternoon (11/30), Anies had indeed performed a PCR swab test at DKI Jakarta City Hall.

Through her written statement, Anies Baswedan also confirmed the news on Tuesday (12/1) that she had tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.

“On Monday, November 30, I again went through the PCR swab as confirmation of the antigen results the day before, and at night I received the news that the results were positive,” Anies said.

Although she tested positive and had no symptoms, Anies said she would continue to chair the scheduled meetings. All meetings will be held virtually.

“I will continue to work to run meetings virtually. Since last March we are used to working virtually, and God willing, there will be no disrupted policymaking process,” Anies said.

Earlier on Wednesday (11/25), Anies had also performed a routine PCR swab test and at that time the results were also negative. On Sunday (11/29), after Lieutenant Governor Ahmad Riza Patria tested positive for Covid-19, Anies also underwent an antigen smear test and the result was negative. The test was carried out because a few days before, Anies had met with the lieutenant governor for a meeting.

Anies said her condition is currently in good condition with no symptoms.

“After consultation and in accordance with the doctor’s instructions, I will undergo independent isolation and follow the treatment procedures established by the medical team,” he said.

Anies said all close contacts, both family and office staff, had undergone PCR testing.

“I will do independent isolation in a place separate from my family and live alone. In the meantime, my family will remain in a private residence,” he said.

He also hopes that everyone who has interacted in the past few days will take the necessary steps, such as self-isolation or a PCR smear test.

“For anyone who has known me in the last few days, you can contact the closest puskesmas to undergo a swab test. Of course, the Health Office tracking team will also record and contact my close contacts. they will perform all related procedures, “he added.

Additionally, Anies said that according to protocol, the governor’s office unit would be closed. Likewise, the office of the Deputy Governor in Block B has been closed. The main building of the City Hall, which is different from the offices of the Governor and Lieutenant Governor, will continue to operate under strict health protocols.

Anies also asked the public to be more compliant with 3M, meaning wearing masks, keeping your distance, and diligently washing your hands.
