The Covid-19 Working Group said Central Java was the highest province in Indonesia with 2,036 additional active cases on Sunday (11/29/2020).

However, on the same day, the Central Java Health Office noted that the number of additional cases in Central Java was 844.

The head of the Central Java Health Service, Yulianto Prabowo, assessed that there was an error in the launch of the Covid-19 Working Group regarding the addition of positive cases in Central Java.

“We were all surprised that it was said in the statement that Central Java was the highest in Indonesia on November 29, with 2,036 cases. This is very different from our data, which only totaled 844,” Yulianto said in a press release , on Monday (11/30/2020).

After tracking, it turned out that there were 694 cases of double data out of the 2,036 data released by the Core Covid-19 Task Force.

“Apart from that, we also found that there were 75 people who were released the week before, released again yesterday. For the 519 results that were double data, there was a name that was typed up to four or five times, so the total data that was double was 694 cases. On that day alone, when Central Java was launched, 2,036 were added, ”he explained.

Yulianto found double data, one of which occurred in Kendal, where in the center’s statement, the name of a patient was noted five times.

Not just double data, Yulianto also found many old cases that were included in the Covid-19 Task Force launch on November 29.

Based on these data, it turns out that a lot of data was entered last June.

“So out of the 2,036 additional cases referred by the Covid-19 Working Group, it turns out that there is a lot of double data. Besides that, the case is also from a long time ago, even a few months ago it was published yesterday,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, asked the public not to worry about the increasing positive cases of Covid-10 in Central Java, as disclosed by the central government.

The public can access data on Covid-19 cases through the site https://corona.jatengprov.go.id.

“Because friends always do to update data, then the provincial government will broadcast it openly to the public through the official website, “he said.

Ganjar also confirmed the difference in data between the central and regional governments.

For this reason, your team is currently working on data synchronization.

“The Dinkes data section always communicates with the Indonesian Ministry of Health data manager and task force so that data releases do not differ too much,” he concluded.
