Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) chaired a closed-door meeting on the subject of the Committee’s discussion on Covid-19 and the National Economic Recovery Report.

At the meeting held at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta’s Presidential Palace complex, Jokowi briefed various regional heads to improve Covid-19 monitoring and control.

The Covid-19 case has set records many times during November 2020. This should be a red flag for all stakeholders, from the government to the community, to implement health protocols more aggressively.

The government, according to Jokowi’s leadership, will evaluate the agreed-upon end-of-year holidays and leave. The reason is that long vacations are often to blame for the increase in Covid-19 cases.

In fact, the ministers have held a joint license evaluation meeting and there are several options that are considered. This option, which Jokowi will decide directly today.

So, has there been an agreement on the evaluation of the collective loss?

“It will still be discussed with various ministers and institutions,” said Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (PMK) Muhadjir Effendy through a short message to CNBC Indonesia on Monday (11/30/2020).

Muhadjir said there were several relevant ministers who were not invited to the closed meeting with the president today. Therefore, the government has not officially agreed on the results of the joint license evaluation.

“Those who were in the meeting were not invited,” Muhadjir said.
