Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The coordinating minister of Maritime Affairs and Investments, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, revealed that in recent times the condition of Covid-19 has worsened. This can be seen in the sum of positive cases every day, which is above 5,000 cases per day. More than double compared to previous months.

He said that most of the cases were contributed by various provinces. Therefore, the province becomes its focus of attention on the repair of the existing system. Luhut received a special task from President Jokowi to monitor areas where Covid-19 cases were still high.

“The 13 most affected provinces contributed to 84% of the total cases in Indonesia. The last two weeks the situation was not very good, but we are trying to continue dealing with Covid-19,” Luhut said in a webinar, Monday (30 /eleven).

The provinces that contributed to the case were East Java, DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, Riau, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, South Sulawesi, East Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, Banten, Papua to Bali. To manage it, the government has implemented three strategies.

“The first strategy is to detect Covid-19 through transmission. It takes discipline from people, it is not easy. But now it is quite good,” he said.

The second strategy is to provide centralized isolation facilities for asymptomatic and mildly symptomatic patients to reduce hospital occupancy.

“Jakarta has managed to overcome this problem because the isolation facilities are quite good,” said the vice chairman of the Committee for COVID-19 Management and National Economic Recovery (KPC PEN).

“Then the last one is the standardization of covid-19 management. This is also important in medical standards,” Luhut explained.
