The Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER-C) said the results of Habib Rizieq Shihab (HRS) and his family’s swab test had come out. MER-C said the test results had been presented to the family.

Sarbini admitted that MER-C does not have a laboratory to test for COVID-19. When asked about Habib Rizieq’s swab testing lab, Sarbini said the lab was secret.

“Mer-C does not have a laboratory. That is clear, yes, clear. Nobody says that MER-C has a laboratory, we do not,” Sarbini said.

So where were the Habib Rizieq swab samples examined? Are all PCR labs integrated with the COVID-19 Working Group?

“Yes, that has become a reference for COVID-19 by the Ministry of Health,” said a spokesman for the COVID-19 Management Working Group, Professor Wiku Adisasmito, when contacted by detik.com on Monday. (11/30/2020).

Prof. Wiku said that all the laboratories established by the Ministry of Health are integrated with the Working Group and become a reference for data collection. It’s just that Professor Wiku didn’t directly mention if there were labs that were not included in the reference list or not.

“If it has become a reference, of course, the test results will be directly integrated with the data from the Ministry of Health that is also used for analysis in the Working Group,” he concluded.
