KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed with a fall of almost 3% at the close of the day on Monday (11/30). Citing RTI data, JCI fell 170,920 points or 2.96% to 5,612,415 levels at the close of the trade.

During the negotiation, JCI had entered the red zone, but in the second negotiation session, JCI fell dramatically by more than 3% and then reduced the decline at the end of the negotiation.

Nine out of 10 sectors are emptied. Among others, the infrastructure sector fell 5%, the miscellaneous industry sector fell 3.92%, the financial sector fell 3.31% and the basic industry sector depressed 3.23%. Only sectors farming which rose 2.21%.

The total trading volume of shares on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) also registered a record 35.8 billion with a jumbo transaction value of Rp 32.8 billion. A total of 405 shares fell and 112 shares rose, and 115 shares were unchanged.

Registered foreign investors net to sell Rs 3.27 trillion in all markets and Rs 3.11 trillion in the normal market. However, foreigners also registered the purchase of several of these shares amid the fall of JCI.

Foreigners collect shares of PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) for IDR 298.7 billion. Although bought by foreigners, MDKA’s shares fell 1.27% to Rs 1,940 per share. The total trading volume of MDKA shares reached 107.5 million with a transaction value of 2.1 trillion rupees.

Foreigners also bought shares of PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR) for 192.1 billion rupees. TOWR shares also fell 2.67% to Rp 1,095 per share. The total trading volume of TOWR shares reached 237.4 million with a transaction value of 2.6 trillion rupees.

Foreigners are also charging PT Media Nusantara Tbk (MNCN) shares of IDR 22 billion. Despite being bought by foreigners, MNCN shares fell 4.25% to Rp 1,015 per share. The total trading volume of MNCN shares reached 15.5 million with a transaction value of Rs 160.6 billion.
