BENEVENTO – Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo admitted to being disappointed with the draw his team won when they visited Benevento headquarters in the ninth week of the 2020-2021 Italian League. Playing at the Stadio Ciro Vigorito on Sunday (11/29/2020) at the morning WIB, Juventus had to settle for playing 1-1 against Benevento.

With this result, Juventus drew for the fifth time in nine Italian League games in the 2020-2021 season. Even if their victory over Napoli doesn’t count, Juventus have won only three of their eight games.

In that match, Álvaro Morata managed to open the scoring for Juventus in the 21st minute. However, he failed to maintain the lead after the Benevento players scored at 45 + 3 through Gaetano Letizia.

This situation also bothered Pirlo. He considered that his team experienced a chaotic situation that did not manage to control the situation well. However, he also admitted that before the first half was over, he was always the main weak point of his current squad.

“We controlled the first half, we had the opportunity to finish the game, but we still don’t know how to read the different moments of the game,” Pirlo said, quoting from Italian football, on Sunday (11/29/2020).

“We took a corner and we did it quickly in the first half, but we had to control the situation and hold on until the break. It is not the first time we have conceded before the break,” he added.

“In the end, we got a bit dirty and lost our cool, we couldn’t turn chances into goals,” he continued.

Even so, another of the duties that Juventus must overcome is the question of a game strategy that is not yet working effectively. Until now, Pirlo also admitted that he was still struggling to overcome this situation.

“We are working on game development. We have an attacking winger, which comes from within. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn’t,” he continued.

“Unfortunately, when the game gets messy and chaotic, we have to play fair, good football and control the game. If not, we will fight, as we did today,” he concluded.
