Sassuolo vs Inter Milan: the Nerazzurri won 3-0

Inter Milan achieved a great victory in the ninth giornata of the Italian League this season. Travel to the Sassuolo headquarters, the Nerazzurri won 3-0.

These results pushed them up to second place in the Serie A standings with 18 points, displacing Sassuolo to third place. Neroverdi’s points add up to Inter, but they lost on goals.

The course of the match

Inter already took the lead quickly in the 4th minute. Alexis Sánchez managed to cut off Vlad Chiriches’ pass and sent Lautaro Martínez through the ball. Although Martinez managed to get past Sassuolo goalkeeper Andrea Consigli, Chiriches managed to block Martinez’s effort.

The Argentine forward secured the ball again, this time handing it over to Sánchez, who easily hit the ball, beating Consigli. The visitors lead 1-0.

Ivan Perisic nearly doubled the lead in the 7th minute, but his blow was outplayed this time by Consigli. Four minutes later, Martinez’s long-range shot still missed.

MORE GOALS FOR INTER! Arturo Vidal’s shot hit Chiriches and the ball rolled towards Sassuolo’s goal. It was not a pretty day for the Romanian defender, but Inter took advantage and went ahead 2-0.

Sassuolo tried to get up. Filip Djuricic fired a long-range shot in the 21st minute, but still hit the post. A minute later, he had another chance, but Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic managed to block his shot.

Arturo Vidal struck back at Sassuolo’s goal, but his attempt at the penalty area in the 26th minute bounced off the crossbar.

Another threat came from Sassuolo, who was chasing goals. Rogerio almost scored in the 35th minute, but Handanovic managed to block his shot. Three minutes later, Jeremy Toljan’s right-footed shot was countered by the Slovenian goalkeeper. The scoreboard 2-0 lasted until the break.

Going into the second half, Inter again put pressure. Martinez is still looking for goals in this match, but his shot in the 54th minute continues to climb.

OBJECTIVE MORE! Inter increasingly left Sassuolo in the 60th minute. With an attack built from the right, Matteo Darmian sent a cross to Roberto Gagliardini, who with just one control of the ball fired a volley that Consigli could not clear.

By winning 3-0, Inter played more relaxed. But they are not without opportunities. Sánchez had a chance to score the fourth goal in the 67th minute, but his long-range shot shot slightly over Sassuolo’s goal.

While the locals were also looking for a goal, their best chance came in the 70th minute, when Domenico Berardi shot down the left. Until the long whistle blew, the score was 3-0 for Inter.
