The case of the crowd at the Habib Rizieq Syihab event in Petamburan, central Jakarta, entered a new chapter. Polda Metro Jaya has now updated the status of the case to the investigative level.
Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran revealed that there was a criminal element to the case. Fadil Imran also revealed that his party would request information from all parties deemed necessary.
“Investigators who handled the marriage contract crowd in Petamburan, based on the results of the investigation, have found criminal acts for which they have been investigated today,” Fadil Imran told reporters at the Jakarta Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, on Friday (11/27/2020).
Fadil Imran has not yet explained what action the police will take in the future regarding the case. However, he confirmed that all parties interested in this activity would be summoned by the police.
“All parties deemed necessary for questioning will be summoned for questioning,” Fadil said.
Polda Metro Director of General Criminal Investigation, Jaya Kombes Tubagus Ade Hidayat, confirmed that all parties related to the incident will be questioned, including Habib Rizieq.
“Everyone, anyone, we do not specify one or two people, we are going to summon everyone involved in fulfilling the tests,” Tubagus said at the Jakarta Police Headquarters, Jakarta, on Friday (11/27/2020).
Tubagus has not disclosed which parties will be called in for questioning. He said investigators were currently still preparing an agenda to question witnesses.
Nor has he confirmed when Habib Rizieq will be summoned. Additionally, Tubagus said his party was currently analyzing witness testimony to determine the suspect.
“We will see, it is dynamic. From the questioning of one witness, he linked him with another witness. Then these witnesses, experts, evidence of evidence and others came together to determine the suspect,” Tubagus said.
