JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, as well as the Acting Minister for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, advised the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) not to over-examine Edhy Prabowo.
“I ask the KPK to also check according to the good provisions, without exaggeration. I leave it alone. Not all are bad, a lot of people are good,” he said at the KKP building, Jakarta, on Friday (11/27/2020) .
Luhut praised the attitude of Edhy Prabowo, who took the step of resigning from his post as KP minister after being named by the KPK as a suspect.

Luhut considered Edhy a good person. Therefore, he said, the attitude of Edhy, who immediately resigned from his position, should be respected.
“I know Pak Edhy is actually a good person. I am happy that he immediately took responsibility as a gentleman. And that we must respect those things as well,” he said.
Luhut asked the public to pray that the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries continue to carry out its functions as usual, despite cases of suspected bribery to obtain export licenses for lobster seeds that involved several KKP officials.
Previously, the KPK had named Edhy Prabowo as a suspect in the case of allegedly receiving gifts or promises related to permits for ponds, businesses or management of fisheries or other similar marine products in 2020.
The KPK named a total of seven suspects in the Edhy Prabowo case as addressees. As is known, Edhy was arrested by the KPK in a manual arrest operation (OTT) at the Soekarno-Hatta airport on Wednesday morning.
Edhy was arrested with his wife and several officials from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries after returning from a working visit in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States. In addition to the Soekarno-Hatta airport, the KPK also arrested other parties in Jakarta and Depok.
