Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Chief Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Rizieq Shihab attended the launch of the book The Revolutionary Thought of Syahganda Nainggolan through a voice recording. The event was also attended by the Presidium of the Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia (WE) Gatot Nurmantyo.
Jakarta FPI President Muhsin Alatas played the recording. Rizieq asked Syahganda and two other US officials to be released from prison.
“My advice to the government is to release all political prisoners, invite them to discuss, invite them to a healthy debate, tell everyone to criticize everything.
government policies that they believe endanger the nation, “said Rizieq at the launch of the book that was called virtual, on Friday (11/27).
He advised the government to view critics as opponents or saving partner. Rizieq asked the government not only to imprison critical people.
The government was asked to invite discussions from opposing groups. That method, Rizieq said, is better for improving government performance.
“An intelligent opponent with common sense is better than a million friends who are stupid and have the mentality of flirting. Because through an intelligent opponent with common sense, the regime can detect its own weaknesses,” Rizieq said.

Gatot Nurmantyo’s story
OUR Presidium, Gatot Nurmantyo, admitted that he had proposed suspending the detention of three US officials who were caught in hate speech cases.
However, Gatot’s idea was rejected by Jumhur Hidayat, Syahganda Nainggolan, and Anton Perdana. Gatot said he was surprised by the rejection.
“It’s very surprising. Both Syahganda, Jumhur and Anton demand that the suspension letter be rejected by them. They don’t want the suspension letter just because of one condition,” Gatot said.
Gatot explained that there are three conditions that must be met if all three people are postponed. First, all three must agree not to eliminate evidence.
The second condition is that they cannot be blurred. So the last condition is that the three people must promise that they will not repeat their actions again.
“The third was rejected by everyone. That is why they are better detained, coming out and continuing the fight,” said Gatot.
Previously, the police arrested three US officials in cases of suspected hate speech. Jumhur Hidayat, Syahganda Nainggolan and Anton Perdana were accused of making hate speech that sparked a wave of protests against the Employment Creation Act.
The head of the Public Information Office of the National Police (Karopenmas), Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, said that the three had become suspects and were arrested on Wednesday (10/14).
The three people were named suspects since last October 14. They were accused of being the people who instigated the masses to hold a massive demonstration against the Job Creation Bill.
