Turin – Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo wants Juventus to be an aggressive team when he loses the ball. The Italian tactician wanted Juventus to take possession of the ball shortly after losing it.
Pirlo has a reason why Juventus will play aggressively to win the ball. He reflected on the Champions League winners in the last two seasons, namely Liverpool and Bayern Munich.
Liverpol and Bayern are similar in style of play, although not exactly the same. Both teams always try to catch the ball from the opponent’s feet as quickly as possible so that in no time they can re-assemble attacks. According to Pirlo, Juventus, who did not play like this before, had a hard time winning the Champions League.
“Aggression and desire to recover the ball after losing. It’s something we work on a lot, “Pirlo said, adapting from Sportskeeda, Thursday (11/26/2020).

“Looking at the last Champions League, the teams that made progress were the ones that made an effort to get the ball back in the shortest time possible. That must be a characteristic that sets us apart (from these teams),” he said.
Winning the Champions League is Juventus’ main objective this season, in addition to dominating the Italian national competition. Juventus have always struggled to lift the Big Ears trophy, the Champions League trophy. Juventus won the Champions League for the last time in the 1995-1996 season.
