Overnight 2020-2021 Champions League Results – Two Teams Qualify for Round of 16 – Okezone Ball

LEAGUE Champions 2020-2021 features eight exciting matches on Thursday (11/26/2020), WIB early in the morning. Once these matches were over, the two great teams made sure to qualify for the round of 16. They are Manchester City and Bayern Munich.

Man City sealed the tickets for the round of 16 against Olympiacos at the Karaiskakis Stadium. Man City, superior to the quality of the hosts, were able to dominate possession from the first minute.

Manchester City’s track into the round of 16 was followed by Group A Bayern Munich. Bayern qualified after beating RB Salzburg 3-1 at the Allianz Arena. Munich’s winning goals were scored by Robert Lewandowski (42 ‘), Leroy Sane (68’) and Maximilian Wober himself (52 ‘). Salzburg could only respond with a goal from Mergim Berisha (73 ‘).

However, the footsteps of Man City and Bayern were not followed by Liverpool in Group D. Because Liverpool surprisingly lost 0-2 to Atalanta at Anfield Stadium. The defeat was not expected by the people because Liverpool won 5-0 in the first match.

The goals for Atalanta’s victory in the match came from Josip Ilicic (60 ‘) and Robin Gosens (64’). The defeat delayed Liverpool’s qualification to the round of 16. In fact, Liverpool will enter the knockout phase if they win three points from Atalanta.

Apart from the big three teams, there are two other European giants competing against each other, Inter Milan against Real Madrid. The great game took place at Giuseppe Meazza, but Inter could not win.

Inter were even beaten 0-2 by Madrid by goals from Eden Hazard (7 ‘) and Achraf Hakimi himself (59’). The defeat reduced Inter’s chances of qualifying for the round of 16, while Madrid was the opposite. The competition in Group B has become increasingly fierce.
