Principal expert staff of the Office of the Presidential General Staff Ali Mochtar Ngabalin praise the attitude of the Minister of the Navy and Fisheries (SST) Edhy prabowo cooperating to deal with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Edhy Prabowo was arrested by the KPK because he is suspected of being involved in corruption lobster seed export.
Edhy Prabowo’s policy of reopening the lobster seed export license is known to have sparked controversy, including from KKP’s predecessor, Susi Pudjiastuti.
However, Ngabalin believes that Edhy issued policies with careful consideration and based on a good knowledge base.
“Pak Edhy is not ignorant of talking about marine and fishery issues. His person is the former chairman of the DPR’s fisheries and maritime commission. So it’s not cans, friend,” Ngabalin told CNNIndonesia.com, Wednesday (11/25).
Ali Ngabalin believes that Edhy’s decision regarding the export of lobster seeds has gone through careful consideration. He said that foreign exchange could be the reason for the government to turn on the export tap.
“The policy that the Minister makes is not the emotional interest he wants. He must know that if there is a policy, he must have the courage to make the decision to open the tap to export lobster seeds,” he said.
“If the policies generate more currency, why not? That has also been a thorough analysis by the experts,” he continued.

Ngabalin praised Edhy for having the courage to issue this policy. He claimed that the policy benefited the Indonesian people, especially the fishermen.
“From the various policies I saw firsthand that this policy was extraordinarily courageous and benefited the interests of the fishermen,” he said.
Despite revealing many questions about the export of lobster seeds, Ngabalin is reluctant to link this case to corruption. He said it was better for all parties to wait for the results of the KPK investigation.
Edhy Prabowo was arrested last night by the KPK at Soekarno Hatta airport. He is currently still being questioned at the KPK. The KPK has 1×24 hours to determine the status of Edhy Prabowo.
