JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Covid-19 pandemic has been going on in Indonesia for almost nine months. However, so far the government has shown that transmission of the corona virus still occurs in the community.
This can be seen in the growing number of Covid-19 cases, with more than 5,000 new patients.
Government data as of Wednesday (11/25/2020) recorded that there were 5,534 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
This is the highest record during the pandemic in Indonesia.

This addition brings the total number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia now to 511,836 people, as of the announcement of the first patient on March 2, 2020.

The patient recovered and died
Although the number of positive cases continues to rise, the government shows that hope arises during a pandemic with many recovering Covid-19 patients.
In one day, there were 4,494 additional Covid-19 patients who were considered cured and were no longer infected with the corona virus.
They were declared cured according to the examination method. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) showing negative results for the corona virus.
Thus, the total number of Covid-19 patients who have recovered has a total of 429,807 people since the start of the pandemic.

However, the sad news also continues with the addition of Covid-19 patients who have passed away.
In the period from November 24 to 25, 2020, 114 patients with Covid-19 died.
Thus, the Covid-19 death rate in Indonesia has reached 16,225 people.
With that amount of data, there are currently 65,804 active cases of Covid-19.
In addition to the active cases, the government also noted that there are 65,438 people currently suspected.

Sample data
The record of 5,534 new cases of Covid-19 was discovered after the government examined 45,330 specimens a day.
During the same period, 43,720 people were sampled to examine the samples.
In total, the government examined 5,465,921 specimens against 3,651,964 people sampled.
For the record, a person can have a sample test more than once.

Covid-19 cases have been recorded in all provinces of Indonesia, from Aceh to Papua.
In more detail, there are 505 districts / cities in 34 provinces that registered patients for being infected with the corona virus.
This means that the Covid-19 case has been affected in more than 98 percent of the territory of Indonesia.
