MATARAM, KOMPAS TV – The control of billboards with the image of the leader of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Rizieq Shihab in Karang Taliwang Village, Cakranegara District, Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), was rejected by residents.
Mataram Satpol PP was forced to return the Rizieq Shihab billboard, which had already been removed.
The executor of the Kasat Pol PP Mataram Martawang said his party was forced to reposition the billboards because they did not want any friction with the community.

“When the task force lowered the billboards in Karang Taliwang, the community asked the officers to put them back on,” Martawang was quoted as saying by Kompas.com on Monday (11/23/2020).
Martawang explained that her party had held a dialogue with residents about removing the billboards. However, residents still refused and called for the billboards to be replaced.
“So to avoid crowds that have the potential to become a transmission medium for Covid-19 and also avoid friction (billboards are being put back),” he said.
