Nobody: Hiring Honorary Professors to Become ASN PPPK 2021 Officially Opens All

KOMPAS.com – The Minister of Education and Culture (Mendikbud) Nadiem Makarim officially announced on Monday (11/23/2020) the PPPK 2021 teacher selection plan.

Nobodym claimed that honorary teachers could become State Officials (ASN) through the Government Employees with Contractual Agreement (PPPK) scheme.

The Ministry of Education and Culture will provide opportunities for 1 million honorary teachers to become public servants through the PPPK scheme and the selection process will take place from 2021.

Hiring is open to all honorary public and private school teachers registered in the Basic Education Data and Professional Teacher Education Graduates (PPG) who are not currently teaching.

“All PPG graduate and honorary professors can register and participate in the selection and all who pass the selection will become KDP professors up to a limit of one million professors,” Nobody explained in an online conference for the Announcement. of Selection of Professors of PPPK 2021, on Monday (11/23/2020).

Each applicant, Nobody continued, was given the opportunity to take the selection exam up to 3 times. If you fail the first time, you can study and retake the exam up to two more times in the same or next year.

“Kemendikbud will provide online learning materials to help applicants prepare for the selection exam,” he explained.

The central government will ensure that there is a budget available for the salaries of all participants who pass the selection.

“Regions don’t have to worry about proposing training needs because the costs are available,” said Nadiem.

Teacher quality improves student learning outcomes

Nobodym said that several studies show that students’ learning outcomes are strongly influenced by the role of the teacher. The high and low quality of teachers will differentiate approximately 53 percent of student learning outcomes in the coming years.

Based on basic data for Dapodik education, he continued, the number of ASN teachers available was only 60 percent of total needs.

“This number has also continued to decline in the last 5 years, an average of 6 percent each year. This makes it difficult to achieve optimal service for students,” he explained.
