The Chief of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, Major General Achmad Riad, met with Pangdam Jaya, Major General Dudung Abdurachman, at the Jaya Military Command. The meeting was to explain the case of the order to lower the billboards of Habib Rizieq Syihab.
“On the occasion of this afternoon I will straighten up with Pangdam Jaya to explain the issue of reducing billboards,” Maj. Gen. Achmad Riad said at the Military Command Headquarters in Jalan Mayjen Sutoyo, Cililitan, East Jakarta, the Monday (11/23/2020).
As is known, Pangdam Jaya Major General Dudung Abdurachman said on Friday (11/20) that he had ordered the removal of the billboards of Habib Rizieq Syihab. Major General Achmad Riad said there was confusion in the community about whether there was an order to lower the billboards.
“Some say there is an order, there is no order. But what I need to stress here is that the responsibility for deploying it lies with Pangdam Jaya. And of course the TNI commander supports in the sense that the commander of TNI does not need to issue an order. Because the one who knows the situation in the regions is the Military Commander, “said Major General Achmad Riad.
Major General Achmad Riad explained the attitude of the TNI commander, Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto on this matter. He stressed that TNI was strong.
“So when Pangdam takes a step, the Commander will support him. Because Pangdam thinks that in his area I should take such an action. I think yesterday Pangdam also had an interview with one of the media saying that, at my level, at the orientation level. operation, “he explained.
“So I think maybe it is so that no one is brought here and there. But what is clear is that the TNI want land, sea, solid air. Clear orders are in accordance with the limits of their respective authorities,” he continued Major General Achmad Riad.
Meanwhile, Major General Dudung admitted that he had not received any special instructions from the TNI commander in relation to this matter. Major General Dudung emphasized that this is his responsibility.
“I do not receive direct orders from the TNI commander because if these things are enough for the military commander. If the distribution of masks, social assistance activities and all kinds of activities carried out in my territory, the regional police chief and the Governor, they do not have to be reported to the TNI commander, “Major General Dudung said.
“The TNI Commander is a national job. It is also a headache if it is only reported all the time. But after this activity, I reported it to the TNI Commander, the TNI Commander knew,” he continued.
