Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan Re-extending social restrictions on a large scale (PSBB) Transition, from November 23 to December 6, 2020.

According to Anies, the Covid-19 condition in Jakarta is still under control, despite the fact that there have been several increases in Covid-19 positive cases and the number of beds used in the special Covid-19 hospital in recent days.

“According to epidemiological data during the implementation of the PSBB for the Transition Period in the last two weeks, the conditions for the Covid-19 outbreak in Jakarta are still under control and are heading towards safety,” Anies said, quoted in a written statement, on Monday (11/23).

According to the data https://corona.jakarta.go.id/id/data-pemantau, the case of covid-19 in DKI Jakarta has been volatile in the last week. However, the positive cases of Covid-19 in DKI Jakarta broke the record on Saturday (11/21), up to 1,579 cases per day.

Previously, cases began to appear to decline after November 14 (1,255 cases), then November 15, 1,165 positive cases, November 16, 1,006 positive cases, November 17, 1,038 positive cases,

Cases increased 1,137 cases on November 18, 1,185 on November 19, 1,240 cases on November 20, 1,579 cases on November 21, and fell again on November 22 with 1,342 positive cases.

The increase in positive cases in Jakarta came a few days after the crowd-sourced incident related to the arrival of Rizieq Shihab on 10 November.

Rizieq’s arrival was greeted by thousands of FPI cadres and supporters at Soekarno-Hatta airport. Just a few days later, Rizieq attended sunrise congregational prayers in the Tebet area, celebrating the birthday of Prophet Muhammad and the wedding of his daughter, Najwa Shihab.

Several of these events were also attended by large crowds without adhering to strict health protocols. The Covid Task Force conducted a trace and tests with the results of 80 crowds in Petamburan and Tebet, confirmed by Covid-19.

The increase in the number of positive cases also has an effect on the increase in the percentage of use of isolation beds and ICU in the special Covid-19 hospital in Jakarta.

According to data from the provincial government of DKI Jakarta, the percentage of isolation wards increased to 73 percent on Saturday (11/21), from the previous 63 percent on Saturday (11/14). According to the same data, the ICU usage rate also increased to 70 percent from the previous 68 percent.

“The hospital bed occupancy rate for the care of patients with cases related to Covid-19 in DKI Jakarta has started to increase over the last two weeks. Currently, of 6,012 isolation beds, 4,417 or 73% have been filled. On the other hand, the use of ICU rooms has been reached. 70% or 591 have been filled with the maximum capacity of 841, “said Anies.

Additionally, 3M’s behavior (wearing masks, keeping distance and washing hands) to prevent transmission of Covid-19 due to corona virus infection in Jakarta has tended to decline in the last week.

“According to the FKM UI data, we see stagnation and even a decrease in public discipline on 3M’s behavior. The data is in line with the data on the daily increase in cases in DKI Jakarta,” Anies said.

“This is a joint initiative. The 3M disciplinary community, we, the government, will continue to promote 3T, that is, testing, tracing and treatment,” he concluded.
