Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia– The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has provided an update on the positive cases of Covid-19 that were found by tracing contacts from various events of Habib Rizieq Shihab.
The interim results were that 50 people tested positive for Covid-19 after participating in the Habib Rizieq event in Tebet, South Jakarta. This transmission group is known as the Tebet group. Then there were 30 positives after participating in the event in Petamburan or called the Petamburan cluster.
The Ministry of Health is also awaiting the results of the 15 samples that participated in the event in Mega Mendung, Puncak, Bogor.
“A total of 50 positive cases were found in Tebet and up to 30 cases in Petamburan and in Mega Mendung there are 15 awaiting test results,” said Plt. General Director of Disease Prevention and Control, Ministry of Health, dr. H. Muhammad Budi Hidayat, M. Kes at a press conference: Update on the examination, monitoring and treatment of COVID-19 by the Ministry of Health in Jakarta, Sunday (11/22).
Budi also advised anyone who feels they have symptoms such as a cough, runny nose, shortness of breath, sore throat, and loss of taste to contact the nearest Puskesmas immediately.
In this case, the Government has also prepared a special quarantine center for COVID-19 patients at Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital, Kemayoran, Jakarta.
“If you have any symptoms, go immediately to a health services center. The government has also set up a quarantine center at the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital,” Budi said.
“Symptoms such as cough, runny nose, shortness of breath, sore throat and loss of taste, immediately visit the nearest health center for a swab or PCR test,” he added.
In addition, his party also emphasizes that all community leaders and anyone who has an important role in a certain community are wiser and set an example to the community about the importance of implementing health protocols.
Budi requested that during the period of the pandemic, activities that cause large crowds should not be carried out. This is because overcrowding can trigger the transmission of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19, which can be fatal.
“In order to provide an example and a role model for the broader community in implementing health protocols. We must work together in efforts to prevent and control COVID-19 so that the pandemic can be overcome immediately.” Budi said.
The Ministry of Health continues to make efforts to track and trace the close contacts of patients who have confirmed COVID-19. This was also done to speed up the management of COVID-19 as well as to break the chain of transmission.
Currently, the Ministry of Health and the Working Group for the Management of COVID-19 have deployed more than 5,000 officers to carry out close contact tracing and are distributed in 10 priority provinces.
The Ministry of Health hopes that the community can support these officials so that the transmission of COVID-19 can be prevented and not generalized.
“Currently, the Ministry of Health and the COVID-19 Management Working Group have deployed more than 5,000 contact trackers in 10 Priority Provinces to track transmission and close contact,” explained Budi.
“We hope that the community will open up and support volunteer contact tracing as a contribution to cutting the chain of transmission of COVID-19,” he concluded.
The Covid-19 Working Group emphasized that the spread of Covid-19 can only be prevented by implementing strict health protocols, namely #pakaimasker, #jagajarak avoiding crowds, and #cucitangan regularly with soap and running water.
