Liverpool closed the first half of the game against Leicester City with a 2-0 lead. Own goals from Jonny Evans and Diogo Jota.

Liverpool played aggressively from the first minutes. They put pressure on the Leicester defense and threatened in the 11th minute through Curtis Jones, but Kasper Schmeichel still stopped his shot.

Liverpool’s dominance finally paid off in the 21st minute. From a corner kick, the ball headed towards the crowd and Jonny Evans instead headed it towards his own net. Liverpool winning 1-0.

Four minutes later, Liverpool almost conceded when Leicester attacked from the left through Jamie Vardy. A bait is released and the ball is tricked by Harvey Barnes, who appears from behind but still opens.

Joel Matip also has the opportunity to score in the 28th minute from a corner. Andrew Robertson’s cornered ball headed his way, but Matip couldn’t keep up his accurate header.
