Portimao –
Suzuki failed to clear the world title in MotoGP 2020. This is after Ducati managed to triumph in the constructors’ standings this season.
Ducati managed to score points after the Portugal MotoGP 2020 at the Portimao circuit, on Sunday (11/22/2020) in the WIB afternoon, ended. This is thanks to the success of Pramac Ducati rider Jack Miller in finishing second.
Miller managed to finish second after overtaking Franco Morbidelli before the race ended. Ducati managed to score 20 points to overtake Suzuki in the constructors’ standings with 221 points.
The reason is that none of the Suzuki riders managed to finish in the top 10 in this race, Alex Rins only finished 15th and Joan Mir as world champion did not even finish.
As a result, Ducati was entitled to a consolation prize in the form of a world constructors’ title. Meanwhile, Suzuki fell to third place in the standings with 202 points, overtaken by Yamaha who finished with 204 points.
For Ducati, this is their second world title under construction after the first in 2007, when Casey Stoner became world champion. The number of Ducati constructors’ world titles is still nothing compared to Suzuki, who has triumphed seven times in MotoGP.

In fact, only half of the total of Yamaha’s 14 constructors’ world titles are far behind Honda, which has won 25 titles in this field.
Although the drivers failed to become world champions, including the trusty Andrea Dovizioso, Ducati was able to at least smile at the end of the season. Whereas Suzuki was unable to clear the triple crown championship alias after becoming world champion in drivers and teams.
